The creative process of art-making is both messy and magical, frustrating and fluid. It can bring an artist‘s insecurities up to the surface, yet asks for complete and total trust. Join professional dance artist, writer, and fiber artist, Alicia Peterson Baskel, as she interviews a new and different artist each week. You will hear from artists and writers across genres about their journey through the creative process toward their masterpieces. These conversations will encourage YOU to make your art. To value your art and to value the work of others. To push boundaries and to be willing to step into the unknown and trust yourself. To trust your creative intuition. (Photo Credit: Jim Carmody)

Tsuyuno Amos is a Hawai‘i-based performer whose background is in acting, dance, and theatre. She studied dance at Bennington College before moving home to O‘ahu, where she was born and raised. She continues to explore various creative practices, dabbling in butoh and clowning while also deeply studying astrology and tarot. She now offers one-on-one dream work sessions to hold space for creativity to enliven through engaging with imaginary figures.
In our conversation, Tsuyuno shares how she brings creativity into her daily life by experiencing the world around her with an artist’s lens. Her love for the found performance and everyday art invites the rest of us see ourselves as participants in an ongoing creative process.
